The Song Of My People

The Daughter  wore a Spiderman cape, paw patrol slippers and a single glove on her hand when we went to Target. She said it was because she's a super hero. And we shouldn't be calling her name anymore - her superhero name is Bird Toe. Read that again. Of all the names to pick, she picked Bird. Toe.

Preface: We pet sat for our neighbors across the street while they were away visiting family. During this time, we had their garage door opener to get in and out of the house easily. I didn't give the garage door opener back until the day after they got home, as it was super late when they got back. Daughter: Whats this toy called? Me: (puts my glasses on so I can see) Uh, well that's the neighbors garage door opener and it's not a toy. Also Me: gets up and sees the neighbors garage door opening while they're in their house, likely sleeping in after getting home super late
